Advice for a Young Investigator by Santiago Ramón y Cajal (July 20-27, 2004)

Advice for a Young Investigator is a very helpful and encouraging book for any scientist. Many parts were humorous, in particular the characterizations of scientists and impediments in the way of scientific progress. Though written with male scientists in mind (Cajal considers women the helpmates), the advice and teachings apply to women too.
