My favorite book growing up was Frances Hodgson Burnett's
A Little Princess. It was one of the first three books I owned,
and before my Mum bought me it, it was the one book I would check out of the
library time and time and time again (a big yellow-covered three volume
edition of A Little Princess, The Secret Garden and Little Lord
Fauntleroy).
Now years later, I've been going back to some of my favorite authors
from childhood, looking at L. M. Montgomery in particular. If you are
visiting from my
L. M. Montgomery website, you already know
I'm a fan of her. In looking for information of Frances Hodgson
Burnett in cyberspace, I found very little information, hence this webpage.
In learning about her, I was surprised at the productivity of her career and
the acclaim she received during her lifetime. I have found much
information available in libraries, so I plan to collect some of those
references here for those interested in learning more about F. H. Burnett.
