1. Can you help me with my project on L. M. Montgomery?
No, this website is my hobby. I am not a teacher or professor, and I am not going to help you with your project personally. One of the goals of this website is to provide resources for independent study. There is a list of L. M. Montgomery's works, a short biography, and references to more extensive biographies and criticism. Explore this website, and also go and visit your library and request other books of L.M. Montgomery if they are not available. Lastly, if you do quote this website and use commentary I have written about L. M. Montgomery, it is necessary to cite this page (see question 2).

do I cite this webpage for a paper or project?

3. May I link to your site or send you new information?
You don't have to ask! I'm thrilled when I find a site that links to me. If you
want a banner to link back, feel free
to use one. If you have an Anne or LMM site that you would like me to link to, drop
me a line and let me know where it is.
4. May I use information from your website on my own website?
It's taken years to gather this material for my site. If you're using material
from this site in a new manner, please cite my website as a reference (see question
#2) on the page it is being used. Please do not directly copy my work. Please contact
me if you have a question and to let me know where the material will be used.

9.
Has a character named Valancy ever been in a movie?
The only movie I have found
with a character named Valancy, is called "The People" (1972),
where one of the main characters is named Valancy Carmody. You

Movie Database website.

Has the Blue Castle ever been made into a movie?
It has not, to my knowledge ever been made into a movie. It has; however,
been adapted for the theatre.
11. What is the best way to read "hard to
find" L. M. Montgomery books?
In my experience, I've found a few in used book stores. Also, I've had
the chance to read many of Montgomery's books by requesting the book at my
library. If it's not on the shelves, I can request a book by interlibrary
loan. So many of the books are available online as electronic
texts that LMM
fans need never go without reading her books.
12. Are there uniform hardback books for the
entire Anne of Green Gables series available from any publisher?
(Meaning: I want grown up looking Anne books!).
A very nice uniform, leather-bound series is available from the Easton Press. You
can read more about them here.
13. Do you know if the BBC 1 Sunday Serials Anne of Green Gables (1972)
and Anne of Avonlea (1975) are available for sale on video or DVD?
I have received this question many times, and I now have some new information
about the serials. I was sent information on the status
of "Anne of Green Gables". Unfortunately, "Anne
of Green Gables" is one of the few BBC 1 Sunday Serials that is
missing and no longer exists in the BBC archives. However, "Anne
of Avonlea" was be released by KOCH Vision on September 5,
2006. You can order the DVD from amazon.com by following the link on
this site.
14. Where can I find a timeline for Anne's life?
There's a great site with an Anne timeline called Notes
on the Geography and
Chronology of Anne of Green Gables. You can find an Anne timeline there.
15. Where can I find patterns to make Anne/Diana costumes?
There are no official patterns from Sullivan yet, except for Anne's

are many resrouces with a lot of great advice and patterns for making costumes,
which
I
have
compiled
in
a page on Fashion Page.
16. Where can I find Anne of Green Gables fanfiction?
The Fanfiction sections

Anne's website. There are also fanfics at The
Alpine Path.
17. Where can I find friends who also love Anne?
The Avonlea Message
Board hosted by Sullivan Entertainment is an excellent place to

not your first language. It's a very welcoming group of people.
