I
have several of my mother's L.M.Montgomery books from her
childhood...first editions, much read and much loved. I grew up on them
and still enjoy them. I'm so glad L.M. was "discovered" later and that
her works are still popular and available. I know the character of Anne
affected my own emotional and creative growth and how I view the world.
Thank you for your celebration of this talented writer...another Anne |

This is the best site about LLM I have ever seen! There is lots of professional information and a great amount of links.
I have been reading Anne hundreds of times for over 15 years. I
often search for information about her in internet and that's the best
site of all. Thank you :) |

I
live in Tasmania - Australia and my maiden name is Montgomery and thus
have always had a very vivid interest in Lucy Maud. My father
coincidentally was called Hugh Montgomery as well. My great grandfather
Hugh Montgomery was a free settler and travelled by ship to Tasmania in the mid 1800's.
I was bought up on Anne with all of my friends and relatives. We feel we know her personally. |

Hi,
you have a very nice site. I understand that you do not help people
with projects for school but I was wondering if you could help me out
with one question that I can not seem to find the answer to. I wanted
to know where L.M Montgomery got the ideas for writing her novels. Was
it from her own real life experiences? Any help will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you. |

analyses of her work and characters I've ever seen. I have bookmarked
your page (a rarity for me) and intend to come back often. Thank you! |

Hey,
love your site. Thanks for the links. I have been a Montgomery nut

test twice...describing me on my best days and on my worst
days.....both times I was ANNE. I guess I can't help being ME :) |

makes reading your sentences rather annoying. I advise cutting back

I've
enjoyed purusing your site very much. Thank you for all of the helpful
information and links. I do, however, have one little quibble. You
confuse "then" with "than" more than once. I don't mean to be overly
critical, but I think correcting the problem would improve your site
and make it seem more credible to people who are sticklers about such
things. I noticed this particular error in your comments about The
Tangled Web, but I'm afraid I can't recall the other. Again, I
appreciate your site--keep up the good work! |

HEHE!
I love your site! I made all of my friends, though none of them have
ever touched an LM Montgomery book, take the quiz. To say the least it
was amusing. I really think that your site is the best out there.
I would differ in some of your opinions of the books though. I
really liked the Story Girl and the Golden Road. I thought that Peter
was interesting but the characters I found the most likeable was Peg
Bowen. She was not afriad to stand up for herself and she was very
funny. Your describing Emily as the talented one really made me think. I
really think that she is, but she is also the dremer. I think she is
more of a dreamer than Montgomery's other heroines. Pat is the sad one. Her "fairy gift" DOES seem to give her more sorrow than happiness. But she got jingle in the end! HEHE!
I do love the Pat books, but I like the Blue Castle better. I think
that Barney is the most developed of Montgomery's heroes, and certainly
the most enjoyable. Hence why I named myself IAMVALANCY on the fourum.
Oh, I wanted to knonw if your ok with my having that name. Cause if you
don't like some else having Valancy as part of my name I don't mind
changing at all. Sorry if that thought just annoys you that I have the
audacity to ask that. Its just my way of putting things. About that forum question for "character rivals" I would be
interested in knowing your opinion. I found that some food for thought.
I would love if you did pages about the heroes as well as the heroines. I think it would be very cool!
Oh, that's SO cool you found the Etexts for Mistress Pat!! I had been looking for it everywhere and Amazon was out! THANK YOU!!
Have a great day!

You have a really nice website. I haven't found so much information about Montgomery elsewhere. Very nice job. |

Hi Val!
Your Page is very very good!
It's very informative! I tried to understand the most things, but I
think I really didn't understand everything! (I'm German and my English
is really bad!) But the things I understood were super!!! Maybe You can
visit my page and write in my guestbook, too!? The only problem is that
my page is in German. But if you write something in my
Gästebuch(Guestbook) in English I'll understand it, too! Nice grettings

Hmmmm..
I don't think I've signed your book, but if I have it doesn't really
matter b/c you've signed mine like 4 times. The page is looking
wonderful, and the amount of effort you've been putting in is
definitely paying off. Keep up the fabulous work!!!! |
