Flowers in May
The changes in flowers according to the months and seasons is something I really missed. I'm so glad to be able to watch all these changes again.

Forsythia
I think forsythia are such lovely flowers. They remind me of my home because my parents' have an artificial forsythia tree in their dining room. When I was in high school, my mom and I bought a beautiful reproduced print of a painting of forsythia by an artist named James Brandess in Saugatuck, Michigan.
Here are some photos of forsythia taken today:

Cobblestone Torture
I captured these pretty berries on a walk today.

Walking on cobblestones and avoiding puddles makes me feel like I'm in a video game sometimes. I really have to watch where my feet are going.

I wish some fresh, new snow would cover up the grimy, littered snow remnants.

Bird on a Bridge
We walked across the bridge to see the Harvard field where we're going to watch the Harvard-Yale game next weekend. On the way, I caught this bird. On the way back, we caught the rain.

Alewife Brook Reservation
We went to the Alewife Brook Reservation today. Although its website says it's adjacent to the Alewife T stop, the main entrance was not at all easy to find (and Google Maps mislabeled multiple sights in the area), so we only saw a small section of it. We also met a group of Dutchmen who wanted to sell us their bicycles. We took the subway up, and we walked all the way back home through some beautiful parks and neighborhoods we hadn't seen before. Hopefully, we can make it back before all the leaves fall off the trees.

On berries and chicken
I haven't seen ash tree berries in years. They're just so pretty.

The chicken I cooked for dinner looked very photogenic.
